Russia's Federal Space Agency supports Flight into the Future contest
Russia’s Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) had announced on Wednesday its support of the Flight into the Future contest. The Agency’s press release was posted on Roscosmos web site and distributed among the media representatives.
In summer 2004 Roscosmos, Central Research Institute for Machine Building (TsNIIMash) and Khrunichev Center had supported the Russian Flight into the Future pilot project. Now Roscosmos provides information and advise support for the international Flight into the Future competition. Deputy head of the Agency Nikolai Moiseev had joined the organization committee of the contest.
‘Participating in the contests like this allows the Russian students and young researchers nod only gain some experience of the international research works, but can also critically evaluate their ‘competitiveness’ comparing with the young researchers from abroad’, Moiseev told the Roscosmos’ press service. ‘Taking into account the growing role of the international cooperation in today’s space programs, this seems to be of large importance’.
